Dave is Vice President of Operations for RCI Safety Inc. He has been with RCI for 11 years and has a B.S. from the University of Wyoming. Working primarily to assist grain companies ranging in size from smaller local cooperatives and companies to large multi-national organizations to improve their compliance with the "Grain Handling Standard" OSHA 1910.272 and the other sections of 1910 General Industry regulations. He is responsible for overseeing all aspects of field operations. This includes managing a staff of field safety consultants who help organizations in the agricultural industry improve their safety activities.
Prior to joining RCI Safety Inc., David spent 15 years holding both operations and management positions in the grain and agronomy industries. David's background in grain safety and regulatory compliance is complimented with the rich experience attained at an operational and managerial level in the industry.
David has completed the OSHA 501 general industry course and is a member of the Greater Iowa Chapter of the Grain Elevator and Processing Society (GEAPS). David has served for 3 years on the GEAPS educational planning committee helping organize educational sessions at the annual GEAPS Expo. His background knowledge and skills are in the areas of Expert Level Knowledge of the OSHA Grain Handling Standard (1910.272), Proficient Machine Safe-Guarding Knowledge, Expert Knowledge of Confined Space Entry Protocols, Proficiency with Lockout/Tagout, Safety Knowledge of Emergency Action Plans, Adept at Conducting Facility Based Risk Assessments, and Practiced at all Aspects of Grain/Agricultural Safety
